About Our Kitchen Renovation Process
From barn conversions to townhouses, the foundation of kitchen design lies in the initial plans. We provide 3D images for you to visualise before we begin, ensuring your satisfaction.
Our kitchens are tailor-made with style and function in mind. We manufacture them locally using advanced machinery, featuring Blum Soft Close doors & drawers, all designed to your specifications.
Our bespoke units come at no extra cost, constructed from premium materials in a variety of colour options. You can choose from flat panels, oak-framed doors, or high-gloss solid acrylic for a modern look.
Once the building is complete, our friendly and professional team will efficiently handle the installation, bringing your designs to life, whilst respecting your home.
About Our Team
Steven, the owner of The Plymouth Kitchen Company (TPKC), has over 30 years of experience in the kitchen industry. Driven by a passion for kitchens, he founded SW Designs during the 2008 recession, starting with a workshop in Wembury. In 2013, he opened TPKC with our first showroom in Plymstock. After outgrowing our workshop, we moved to our current showroom & workshop in Plympton in 2019.
Steve’s daughter, Bethany, joined TPKC in 2013 and completed her Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeship in 2016. She has been the Showroom Manager since 2017. Steve’s son, Pacey, began his Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship in 2023 and is now completing his Level 3 Craft Carpentry Interior Systems Apprenticeship.
As a family, we live by the coast and love working on coastal properties, integrating the outdoors with our designs.
